This painting has been created in Graham"s own original style of combining acrylic paint with gold leaf. 
The gold leaf in the foreground gives extra depth and life to the painting,
By using as a setting the backdrop of the Isle of Mull, a Scottish Hebridean Island which has been his home for the past 9 years, the painting also has a unique sense of place.
The rugged landscape with its wide untamed spaces  is used to convey a  sense of peace and freedom and as an escape from everyday urban life .
There is a surreal quality to this painting, the figure seems to be transported, as if she is dreaming to be in this place, there is a sense of tension as if she is lost or looking for something.
The work inspires thought into our current and past relationship"s with nature and the world we have created.
